Staunton, VA
Martin Geiger, son of Elizabeth and Philip Geiger, is a modern landscape and figurative painter who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, graduating in 2019. He has won numerous grants and awards over the past several years, including the Franklin C. Watkins Grant, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, the Jimmy Lueders Prize, the Charles Toppan Drawing Prize, the Earl T. Donelson Painting Award, the Gilbert M. Cantor Scholarship, and the Lauer Prize. He lives in Staunton and is an instructor at the Beverly Street Studio School. He has exhibited his work in Virginia, Philadelphia and Ohio.
